Use Warp with amazee.ai
Warp is a modern terminal with built-in AI features. Warp supports Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) so you can route AI requests through amazee.ai instead of using Warp credits.
Prerequisites
- Warp installed
- An amazee.ai API key
Connect Warp to amazee.ai
- Open Settings in Warp
- Search for API keys to jump to the BYOK configuration
- Add your amazee.ai API key under the appropriate provider section (e.g. OpenAI)
- Set the endpoint to your amazee.ai regional URL:
https://llm.[your-region].amazee.ai/v1
Replace [your-region] with your region code (e.g. ch103, us103, de103).
Once configured, you'll see a key icon next to supported models in Warp's model picker.
How BYOK works in Warp
- Warp does not consume any of your Warp credits when using BYOK
- Costs are billed through your amazee.ai account
- Your API key is stored locally on your device and never synced to Warp's servers
!!! note "Cloud Agents" BYOK does not apply to Warp's Cloud Agents. Because your API keys are stored locally, they are not available for cloud-hosted agent runs.
Verify
Use Warp's AI features (⌘I or the AI button) and check my.amazee.io → Usage to confirm requests appear.
Troubleshooting
Auth errors
: Verify your API key is correct and the endpoint includes /v1.
Model not available : Check that the model is available in your region. See Available Models.
Still using Warp credits : Make sure BYOK is enabled and the key icon appears next to the model you selected.
